Care for care homes- spreading joy in 2020
During this pandemic, Loscoe C of E Primary School and Nursery have thought very hard about how we can spread some joy and cheer to those in our community. We would normally visit our local care homes to sing Christmas carols for the residents which of course we cannot do this year so our wonderful children have thought of a plan B!
We have thoroughly enjoyed sending letters, cards and pictures to the residents of Codnor Park and Firs residential home. We thought carefully about the messages we wanted to send- messages of hope, friendship and love. We know the residents will miss seeing us this year so some of our children have created some videos for them to enjoy. Instead of singing, we have recited some poems we hope will make our friends at Codnor Park and Firs smile,
